Built from the bowels of C, Python is a highly versatile language that can be used for simple script to full blown applications. It’s also the foundation of another automation platform that I like to use, Ansible.
What I’ve done with Python:
Built an ACL parser to re-permission 2PB of unstructured data on a FreeBSD based storage appliance.
Created python modules based on multiple third-party API’s to make a unified scripting experience.
Built performance indicators to identity service degradation, and prevent service outages.
